‘What “oppression” is more grievous than that a soul seeking the truth, and wishing to attain unto the knowledge of God, should know not where to go for it and from whom to seek it?’ (Bahá’u'lláh)

Welcome to The Tiverton Bahá’í.

The aim of The Tiverton Baháí is to help seekers in their search for spiritual truths by providing some signposts along the way, based on the experience of a fellow seeker who found the Bahá’í Faith in Tiverton thirty years ago.

Although some of the information found here may be local to Tiverton, Devon or the United Kingdom, the aim is to assist seekers from wherever they are from, by providing material and links to Bahá’í resources from across the world, and closer to home, wherever their home might be. On many of the pages of this website there is the opportunity to comment on the information found there. Please feel free to use this facility; I will endeavour to answer any queries you may have about the Bahá’í Faith and its teachings.

On my blog page I will be writing about what Bahá’í activities I’ve been involved in. I will also endeavour to provide a Bahá’í point of view of what is happening in the world, and draw your attention to any interesting posts that I’ve found on other Bahá’í blogs.

As the town of Tiverton is twinned with the German city of Hofheim, you will also find information about the Bahá’í community there and the Bahá’í European House of Worship, which is situated in the Taunus hills, on the outskirts of Hofheim.

Thought of the Day

O rulers of the earth! Be reconciled among yourselves, that ye may need no more armaments save in a measure to safeguard your territories and dominions. Beware lest ye disregard the counsel of the All-Knowing, the Faithful.
Be united, O kings of the earth, for thereby will the tempest of discord be stilled amongst you, and your peoples find rest, if ye be of them that comprehend. Should any one among you take up arms against another, rise ye all against him, for this is naught but manifest justice. (Bahá’u’lláh)
